In the centre of Amsterdam Zuid on the Apollolaan, next to the Bilderberg Garden Hotel, you’ll find the hip and chic restaurant De Kersentuin. This restaurant has a famous history of over 35 years and recently took an exciting, innovative turn.
A completely new interior with circular booths, high and low tables and a prominent chefs table with a direct view of the kitchen creates a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The international bar/lounge is an ideal meeting place during the day for a good conversation or a quick lunch. In the evening, the bar transforms into the place to be to enjoy a good glass of wine, GT or a Bloody Mary.
Stefan van Sprang is a chef with two Michelin stars and is in charge of the kitchen. Casual dining on a high level with a healthy dose of flair is the motto of Stefan. On the menu you’ll find a couple of signature dishes from Aan de Poel in simplified form. The menu is a mix of ‘pure products’ and signature dishes where all meals are served as a side dish. For lunch the chef recommends a choice of 2 to 3 dishes and for dinner 3 to 4. The price per dish ranges from €15,00 to €20,00.
Restaurant the Kersentuin in the Dutch capital is (excluding Sundays) open Monday to Friday for lunch and dinner. Obviously the restaurant is equipped with free WiFi and is easily accessible from the A10 and the RAI. Public parking and valet parking are available.
