Anne Frank House
Het Achterhuis (annex) where Anne Frank and her family hid for years during World War 2, is located on the Prinsengracht and was turned into a museum after it was threatened to be demolished. Het Achterhuis was left in its original state as much as possible to create a realistic picture of their time in hiding.
Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam
The collection of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam comprises modern and contemporary artworks. During the last century, the Stedelijk Museum was internationally seen as one of the most influential museums of the 20th century.
