Heineken’s historic brewery in the centre of Amsterdam is an interactive museum, or, as they call it themselves: an Experience. Here you will be taken on a journey through the history of one of Heineken: one of the most popular beers in Europe, if not the world!
The Heineken Experience was opened in 1991 after the company built a larger and more modern brewery outside the city center. The old brewery was the perfect opportunity for the Heineken family to display their pride and so they did. Today the Heineken Experience is one of the best visited attractions in Amsterdam.
In the museum you will find four floors of multimedia exhibits, artifacts used in historical brewing, and last but not least, a bar where the famous pilsner can be tasted! Are you getting thirsty already?
The Heineken Experience is one of the most visited attractions in Amsterdam, it draws hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. In 2017 there were even over a million visitors. You can wander between the enormous cauldrons which are over a hundred years old, smell the odor of freshly brewed beer in the mini-brewery, and find out everything about the evolution of the Heineken logo. In short, everything a Heineken fan wants to know, smell and taste!
Because of the success of the attraction, we strongly recommend to buy your tickets online and reserve your spot. Otherwise, surely you will be waiting in line for a long time. Also, online the tickets have a discount! So be prepared for your visit.
